Kari, an indigenous Embera girl, doesn't dare to laugh. She meets Kera, who tells her the myth of Kiraparamia: Kiraparamia was punished by the gods for laughing at her husband. But Kera reinterprets this myth and explains to Kari that laughter is liberating. Kari is inspired by Kera and finds her own strength.
