The writings of Rosinska's favorite painter state that the Polish landscape seems to constantly draw the eye to the ground, to the bones buried beneath every step.
Krakow in Poland and Lviv in Ukraine form the geographical framework of her film. Images of the surroundings are interwoven with footage from the world of Rosinska's grandparents, who are both over 80 years old. Their bodies and practices seem to be shaped by wartime and postwar history, as well as by Poland's national Catholic narrative.
