Mike, a washed-up alcoholic and brawler, travels to London to take his estranged son out on his birthday. Desperate to show he's a reformed man, Mike doesn't realise Gary has also changed. Drink and the simmering violence of match day in London brings out the worst in Mike over a long, difficult afternoon for father and son.
