The world is on the move and many people are seeking protection. The short film programme "ZWISCHENWELTEN" for youngsters from the age of 14 reflects upon personal aspects relating to refuge, migration, home, family and national, ethnic and religious belonging.
In five short fiction, animation as well as documentary films, the protagonists question one's self and the world they are living in. Without condemning they tell about how it is to be different and how it feels, if expectations cannot be fulfilled. They talk about how clichés function as placeholders and how hard it is to overcome boundaries of different kinds to move forward.
Due to that, the five short films open up space for self-reflexion and discussion.
